Teeling to auction first 100 bottles of single pot still whiskey

Teeling will celebrate the coming of age of its single pot still Irish whiskey by auctioning off the first 100 bottles.

The first 100 bottles of Teeling Single Pot Still will be available on WhiskyAuctioneer.com

The first 100 bottles of Teeling Single Pot Still will be available from WhiskyAuctioneer.com tomorrow (31 August), with all profits from the sale donated to charitable causes in Dublin’s Liberties.

The auction is the first release of Teeling Single Pot Still Whiskey, which has been produced from a recipe of 50% un-malted barley and 50% malted barley.

Distilled in 2015, the whiskey has been matured for more than three years in ex-Muscat wine casks.

Plans for the Teeling Distillery were first unveiled in January 2014, before the distillery opened its doors in 2015 and produced its first spirit earlier that year.

Irish whiskey fans will have until 10 September to bid on one of the bottles of Teeling Single Pot Still, which have been described as “a piece of Irish whiskey history”.

The bottling is the first release of whiskey distilled at the Teeling site and also marks the first time an Irish whiskey distillery will auction off its first ever bottling.

The auction will run until 10 September on WhiskyAuctioneer.com.

Earlier this year the distillery announced that its first releases will include a celebratory release followed by the first commercial release of the Teeling Single Pot Still in October.
