Lost Distillery Co gains first GTR listing

Scotch whisky brand The Lost Distillery Company has partnered with Lagardère Travel Retail to launch its portfolio in global travel retail.

The Lost Distillery Company’s launch in GTR will include four of the seven brands in its range

The Crucial Drinks-owned whisky brand will launch its portfolio in duty free on 12 July in Hong Kong International Airport’s new East Hall South Discovery Zone.

Scott Watson, co-founder of Crucial Drinks and The Lost Distillery Company, said: “We’ve celebrated some fantastic achievements as a business this year and the launch into Hong Kong International Airport with Lagardère Travel Retail is another milestone we are very proud of.

“A staggering amount of people travel through Hong Kong International Airport every day and we are very much looking forward to immersing them in our award-winning story on a global scale”

The launch will include four of the seven distillery brands in the Lost Distillery Company’s portfolio, including Stratheden, Towiemore, Gerston and Jericho.

It also includes expressions across the brand’s three key ranges, The Classic, The Archivist and The Vintage Selection, with each range carrying progressively older malts priced from US$49.99 up to US$260.00.

Scott Hamilton, head of liquor category management at Lagardère Travel Retail Hong Kong, said: “The Lost Distillery Company’s reputation has been boosted by its award-winning performance across industry tasting competitions, so we are delighted to see this Scottish brand on the shelves at Hong Kong Airport.”

Last year, The Lost Distillery Company launched a six-strong miniature range offering consumers a taste of Scotch whisky’s ‘lost’ flavours.
