Marylebone Gin marks RAF Club centenary

Halewood Wines & Spirits is celebrating 100 years of the Royal Air Force Club with the launch of a limited-edition iteration of its Marylebone Gin brand.

A limited-edition bottling of Marylebone Gin marks the centenary of The Royal Air Force Club

Halewood subsidiary The Pleasure Gardens Distilling Company created the new Centenary Edition gin with lemon balm and sweet orange. The bottle design features the RAF Club’s logo.

The Pleasure Gardens Distilling Company is situated less than a mile from the Mayfair-based RAF Club, a private charitable members club for serving and former serving officers of the RAF and their families.

Johnny Neill, founder of the Marylebone Gin brand and the man behind Whitley Neill Gin, said: “Gin has always been well enjoyed at the RAF Club, so it seemed only right that we should recognise this celebratory year with a commemorative spirit.

“The Marylebone brand is gathering superb momentum across both the on- and off-trade in the UK, as such it is exciting to grow the premium portfolio and reach the increasingly discerning consumer.”

Marylebone Gin Centenary Edition is available exclusively to members and guests of the RAF Club in Mayfair.

The Pleasure Gardens Distilling Company, founded last year, is based on the former site of the 18th century Marylebone Pleasure Gardens. Marylebone Gin is its inaugural product.
