Free masterclasses confirmed for trade show Spirited

The schedule of masterclasses for new London-based spirits trade event Spirited has been announced.

Spirited will be held on Thursday 15 March

Launched by The Spirits Business, Spirited will take place at Nine Adam Street in central London on Thursday 15 March. A dedicated trade session will be held from 12pm-4pm, before the show opens to consumers in the evening.

The show’s series of educational masterclasses has now been confirmed, featuring some of the industry’s leading communicators and educators.

At 1pm, The Spirits Business editor Amy Hopkins and The Whisky Exchange’s Billy Abbott will host a ‘Boundary-Breaking Whiskies’ masterclass, which will explore innovative and transgressive whiskies from around the world.

At 2pm, Jon Anders Fjeldsrud, brand champion for Mexico and the Nordics at Amathus Drinks, will take guests on a journey through the production of mezcal in his ‘Mezcal 101’ session.

Finally, at 3pm, Hannah Lanfear, spirits educator with the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), will host the ‘Understanding Gin: A Systematic Tasting with WSET’ masterclass.

All masterclasses are free to attend and places will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
