Jamie’s Italian unveils exclusive bottled cocktail

Jamie’s Italian has launched a winter-themed bottled cocktail created in collaboration with World of Zing.

Jamie’s Winter Spritz is made using Gancia Rossa, Montenegro Amaro and Ketel One Vodka

The cocktail, called Jamie’s Winter Sprits, is available exclusively from the Italian restaurant chain and is created using Gancia Rossa, Montenegro Amaro, Ketel One Vodka infused with fig and ginger, and a bitter orange and clove syrup.

Pritesh Mody, founder of World of Zing, said: “Jamie’s people came across some of our products so approached us directly to ask if we could create something bespoke for them.”

He continued: “We were given a brief to create an exciting Spritz style drink, taking into account the current trend for bitter flavours and vermouth.”

The cocktail is delivered to restaurants in a 750ml bottle, each providing 15 servings. To serve, restaurant staff pour 50ml of the cocktail into a glass and top it with Prosecco and soda.

According to World of Zing, using pre-made cocktails, such as this, helps restaurants minimise wastage, increase speed of service and reduce training costs at each venue.

Mody added: “It’s important to note the cocktails are still handmade with the same care and attention found in the best bars, but instead of each location having to invest and train someone who can produce the various components of the drink, the Spirit of Zing set-up simply centralises the process and provides a cocktail that is consistent across all venues.”

World of Zing has worked with a number of venues to create exclusive cocktails and produces a range of ‘off-the-shelf’ bottled cocktails to develop the drinks offerings in bars and restaurants.

Jamie’s Winter Spritz is available exclusively across all Jamie’s Italian restaurants until February for £7.50 (US$9.89).
