Firebox releases Mermaid Tears Vodka
Online retailer Firebox has extended its spirits range with the launch of Mermaid Tears Vodka which it claims is made from the “shimmering tears” of a real-life mermaid.

The new expression is the latest addition to Firebox’s ‘Mythical Tears’ spirits portfolio, and follows the release of Phoenix Tears Rum and the recent relaunch of sister spirit, Unicorn Tears Gin Liqueur.
Mermaid Tears Vodka is made from French grain vodka and blended with the “glistening tears of line-caught Mermaid shoal”.
The expression features a “glittery haze” and is a “dreamy ocean blue” colour.
Firebox recommends serving the vodka in cocktails or on the rocks.
The new expression joins a selection of unusual spirits available on the website, such as Pistachio Cream Liqueur, Marshmallow Vodka, and Chocolate Whisky.
Bottled at 40% abv for a 50cl, Mermaid Tears Vodka is available to buy exclusively from the online retailer at an RRP of £39.99.
