Effective from 1 November, Savage will join Artesian as head bartender, while Sebastian will take on the role of bar manager.

Savage joins the London venue after four years at renowned Paris bar Little Red Door – where he won the title of World’s Most Imaginative Bartender in 2014. He is recognised by the industry for his “creativity and unique approach to flavour”.

Sebastian joins after a “hugely successful” tenure at the helm of The Savoy’s Beaufort Bar, where she led the team to win the Best International Hotel Bar Award at Tales of The Cocktail in 2015.

The duo will collaborate first on a preview menu available from December, followed by an official menu launch in March 2018.

“London has always been somewhere I’ve admired for its amazing cocktail scene and I’m so excited to be returning to the city in one of its most beautiful bars,” said Savage. “I can’t wait to start working with the team and one of London’s best bar managers.”

Sebastian added: “I’ve always admired Artesian and what it stands for as a bar. This is an exciting new chapter for me and I’m looking forward to bringing my experience to a place that celebrates innovation and originality.”

In July 2015, Alex Kratena and Simone Caporale resigned from Artesian at The Langham along with several members of their bar team.
