TFWA confirms social events programme

The TFWA World Exhibition & Conference has revealed the line-up for its social events and leisure activities programme in Cannes this October.

The trade show, taking place at the Palais des Festival on 1-6 October, will kick off its social events with an Opening Cocktail party where guests can network at the Carlton Beach at 7.30pm on the Sunday. An extravagant firework display is also set to wow partygoers during the festivities.

For those who want to switch off from business during the week, laid-back beach location The Scene will be on-hand.

Glamorous black tie event Le Premium Evening will round off the week’s social events on the Thursday evening, featuring internationally renowned singer and impressionist Véronic DiCaire and a gala dinner.

The show’s leisure activities programme will start on Sunday 1 October with a Golf Tournament held in partnership with Estée Lauder at the Cannes Mandelieu Golf Club.

For those who enjoy an even more energetic start to their Sunday, there is a charity run along Cannes’ famous Croisette at 8.30am, beginning in front of the Carlton Hotel. All proceeds will go to homelessness charity SAMU Social of Cannes.

The Regatta is also back by popular demand will once again take place in the Bay of Cannes at 8.30am. Participants will be able to enjoy an on-board picnic lunch and post-race swim.

A one-hour yoga class will take place on Sunday Majestic Hotel jetty at 9.30am, while the Pétanque Tournament will take place at the same time, but at a different location to last year – at Allée de la Liberté Charles de Gaulle, just in front of the Palais des Festivals.

“We are delighted to be able to offer such a varied calendar of social events this year at TFWA World Exhibition & Conference,” said Erik Juul-Mortensen, president of TFWA.

“These are always highly popular and we are looking forward to meeting newcomers as well as seeing well-known faces.”

TFWA also recently confirmed its TFWA World Exhibition & Conference workshop programme, which will feature digital technology as a “strong theme”. This year also sees the launch of TFWA’s new Digital Village, which will run parallel to the event.
