Tarquin’s expands portfolio with blackberry gin

Southwestern Distillery has launched Tarquin’s Brilliant British Blackberry GinThe new flavoured gin is the fourth permanent spirit to join the Tarquin’s portfolio, and features the brand’s Cornish Gin as its base. Post-distillation, the liquid is infused with blackberries and “a touch” of local Cornish wildflower honey, then bottled at 38% abv.
Tarquin’s Brilliant British Blackberry Gin is said to offer blackberry crumble, wild berries and sweet spice on the nose, with summer pudding, crisp juniper, frangipani on the palate and a finish of lemon sherbet, raspberry sorbet, and wildflower honey.
“Our new blackberry gin is all about capturing and bottling a little piece of our beautiful Cornish summer,” said founder and master distiller, Tarquin Leadbetter. “Our delicious Tarquin’s Blackberry Spritz, with a dash of lemon juice and fresh mint is exactly that – fresh, bright and full of Cornish sunshine.”
Tarquin’s Great British Blackberry Gin has an rep opt £35 for 700ml, and is available online from 31Dover.
This latest release follows the Tarquin’s ‘The Seadog’ Navy Strength Gin back in 2016.
