TFWA AP attracts record exhibitor count

The Tax Free World Association (TFWA) says a total of 317 exhibitors have confirmed their presence at its Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference – a record tally for the event.

Set to take place in Singapore from 7-11 May 2017, the travel retail trade show, now in its 21st year, has attracted 76 new or returning brands to the event.

The count is up 2% from the 310 exhibitors present in 2016, and up 9% from 2015’s tally of 285 companies.

The 10,3000sqm exhibition space at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre has grown 5% from the 9,817sqm total last year.

“We are delighted that the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference is continuing to go from strength to strength, and our exhibitor numbers suggest we are on track for a very successful week,” said TFWA president, Erik Juul-Mortensen

“These figures also reflect the importance of the Asia Pacific region to our industry and underscore how it is an essential market for all brands in the duty free and travel retail sector.”

The TFWA’s ONE2ONE pre-arranged meeting service also returns for 2017, giving retailers, brands and service concessionaires the opportunity to meet with senior executives from airports, airlines and cruise and ferry companies.

In the run-up to the show, visitors will be able to access the TFWA Product showcase, an online tool which will enable them to see details of key product launches in advance of the event.

Earlier this month, TFWA released details of both the speaker line up for its Asia Pacific Conference which takes place prior to the exhibition, and the networking and social programme.

Pre-registration has now closed, but delegates can register on-site in Singapore from 7 May onwards.
