German spirit Jägermeister has partnered with London-based Joe’s Tea Co to develop a series of tea-based cocktails as it looks to shake off its shots-centric reputation.

Jägermeister has partnered with Joe’s Tea Co to create a range of cocktails

The collaboration has resulted in three cocktails, developed by Jägermeister UK brand ambassador Florian Beuren and Joe’s Tea Co founder Joe Kinch.

Hunter’s Tea is described as a “refreshing citrus” serve, English Garden as a “simple grapefruit fusion”, and Purple Stag as a “berry medley blast”.

All three are designed to be recreated at home, “bringing a refreshing twist to brunch or kicking off the evening in style”.

In addition, Jägermeister and Joe’s Tea Co have developed a twist on the Long Island Iced Tea, which will be available at London bar Scaredy Cat Town for a limited period of time.

“The Jägermeister flavour profile makes it perfect for marrying with tea and creating exciting cocktails,” said Beuren. “Our recipe contains 56 different herbs, roots and spices including; ginger, star anise, orange peel, cardamom and cinnamon, these also appear in a lot of teas and allowed us a high level of versatility in our pairing options.

“Working with a passionate expert like Joe really helped us explore these possibilities and resulted in three beautiful, surprising cocktails.”

Kinch added: “It’s incredibly exciting to be exploring the versatility of our tea, outside of our traditional space. Working with Florian and Jägermeister to experiment with the intricacies of our respective recipes was a fun challenge, and one that has created fantastic results.

“We believe that everyone should be able to enjoy quality tea; however they wish to make it.”
