The Cocktail Festival is a four-day weekend event developed to celebrate bars, brands and bartenders which comprise the country’s on-trade, as well as bar-goers.
Organised by the Beirut Cocktail Factory, a concept created by Trivisus Group to improve Lebanese hospitality and nightlife, the event is expected to bring together more than 50 bars and attract in excess of 5,000 participants per day.
An educational element will give delegates the opportunity to discover new drinks and cocktails, and give bartenders a platform to share expertise.
It is hoped the event will become a regular fixture in the bartending calendar.
“For four consecutive weekend nights, visitors of The Cocktail Festival will experience the best cocktails made by their favorite bartenders, in an atmosphere of continuous entertainment by their favorite DJs and bands and with the participation of all top brands in the industry,” Selim Hakimeh, co-founder and managing partner, Beirut Cocktail Factory, told The Spirits Business.
According to event organisers, the city of Brummana, 20 miles from the capital Beirut, has positioned itself as Lebanon’s nightlife leader, enticing vistors with more than 30 pubs, restaurants and clubs.
