Penhaligon’s partners with London bar
London’s Old Bengal Bar has created a cocktail menu based on fragrances by British perfume house Penhaligon’s as it releases its latest scent, Equinox Bloom.

The bar will offer five cocktails, with each designed to “recreate the experience of inhaling the fragrance” in addition to “providing a flavour evocative of its aroma”.
Cocktails on the menu include Levantium, which combines Hibiki Japanese Harmony, Absinthe, Peychaud, Angostura bitters and clove smoke to recreate the spicy warmth of the original scent.
Equinox Bloom is a blend of Mount Gay Black Barrel and Aphrodite bitters with violet liqueur, jasmine syrup and orange blossom. The recipe is said to recapture the spring floral notes of the perfume.
The partnership will run for three months from 6 March, with patrons receiving an invitation card to a complementary fragrance profiling appointment, and a 15% discount off any purchase made at Penhaligon’s Royal Exchange boutique.
Old Bengal Bar follows in the footsteps of Berlin’s Fragrances Bar, which offers cocktail creations inspired by exclusive perfumes.
