By Amy HopkinsIndependent bottler and whisky merchant Edinburgh Whisky Ltd has appointed Inverarity Morton as exclusive distributor for its brands in the UK on-trade.
Edinburgh Whisky has appointed a new distribution for UK on-trade channelsDescribed as a “major milestone” for Edinburgh Whisky, Inverarity Morton will handle whiskies released under its New Town Blends and The Library Collection labels.
“In our opinion, no other supplier in the country has as good a reach or reputation in the prestige on-trade market as Inverarity Morton,” said Edinburgh Whisky co-founder Gordon Watt.
“This agreement will give Edinburgh Whisky great new distribution, which will be supported by an extremely professional and knowledgeable sales team.
“We’ve had a lot of interest from the on-trade looking to be among the first to stock our range, but it was important we found the correct distribution partner with shared values on quality and service.”
Edinburgh Whisky Ltd released its three inaugural expressions inspired by Edinburgh’s Old and New towns in August 2015. The company revealed plans to expand just three months later after securing additional funding from Clydesdale Bank.
