Christian Brothers brandy releases apple flavour
Heaven Hill Brands is capitalising on the popular apple-flavoured spirits trend with the launch of a third brand extension in its Christian Brothers brandy range.
Made using real apple, Christian Brothers Apple joins Honey and Peach flavours in the grape-based brandy’s flavoured range.
“CB Apple is a classic from its core, integrating a storied Brandy with an innovative flavor profile that has proven successful across other spirits categories,” said brand manager MaryCrae Guild.
“Leading off the success of CB Honey and Peach, CB Apple is a natural extension for Christian Brothers Brandy as more consumers seek new flavor varieties.”
A number of brands have moved into apple-flavoured spirits in recent years. Jim Beam Apple made its US debut last month, while Canadian whisky brand Crown Royal unveiled its Regal Apple bottling in November 2014.
According to Nielsen data, apple-flavoured spirits along accounted for US$350m of annual sales in the US. Meanwhile, flavoured whiskey is set to grow by 40% to nearly nine million cases in 2015.
Christian Brothers Apple is now available across the US at an RRP of US$10.99.
Brand owner Heaven Hill, based in Bardstown, Kentucky, recently expanded its portfolio with the outright acquisition of Deep Eddy Vodka and its Texas-based distillery.
