Crown Royal launches latest flavour extension

Diageo has unveiled the latest flavour extension for its Crown Royal Canadian whisky brand, called Crown Royal Regal Apple

Crown Royal Regal Apple – infused with real apples – is the Canadian whisky’s latest flavour extension

Created by infusing a blend of Crown Royal whiskies with Regal Gala apples, the expression is described as having a tart, crisp flavour balanced with notes of caramel and spice.

Crown Royal distillers placed the apples in a mixture of whisky and water before the liquid is distilled.

“Crown Royal always strives to appeal to our consumers’ evolving tastes to create innovative expressions worthy of their enthusiasm for this historic whisky,” said Yvonne Briese, vice president of marketing for Diageo North American Whiskey.

“We are thrilled to release Crown Royal Regal Apple which delivers on the signature smoothness, quality and tradition consumers have come to know and love from Crown Royal.”

Packaged in an emerald green carton, Crown Royal is now being rolled out across the US and Canada at an RRP of US$24.99.

In 2012, Crown Royal made its first foray into the flavoured whisky segment with the launch of Crown Royal Maple Finished whisky.
