Scotland inspires new bottled cocktail range
By Amy HopkinsScottish-themed restaurant Mac & Wild, based in London, has created its own range of bottled cocktails for the festive period.
Mac & Wild’s Scottish-inspired bottled cocktails will be available in retailers including Selfridges and Whole FoodsAvailable from retailers including Selfridges & Co, Whole Foods and The Whisky Exchange, the collection consists of four bottlings: Ginger Laddie, Auld Pal, The Forager, and Tam’s Tears.
The small-batch cocktails have been crafted by Mac & Wild’s Luke Leiper using Scotch whiskies and other Scottish spirits and are inspired by Scotland’s landscape.
The base spirits and vermouths are macerated or infused with locally-sourced Scottish herbs and botanicals.
Finished with a wax seal, the cocktails are said to be easily identifiable as a classic cocktail, such as the Manhattan or Old Fashioned, but with a ‘Mac & Wild twist’.
Mac & Wild’s bottled cocktails are now available at an RRP of £29.95 per 50cl bottle.
The pre-batch cocktail trend has been rapidly gaining traction in recent years, moving from bars to retail environments.
