Limestone launches second Yellowstone Bourbon

Kentucky’s Limestone Branch Distillery has launched its second Bourbon since opening five years ago – Yellowstone Select Kentucky Straight Bourbon.

Yellowstone Select Kentucky Straight Bourbon is the latest release from the Limestone Branch Distillery

Presented in a commemorative tube, the bottling has been crafted using hand-selected barrels of 4-year-old and 7-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon.

In 2010, Limestone Branch Distillery was opened by brothers Steve and Paul Beam in Lebanon, Kentucky. The distillery reintroduced the Yellowstone Bourbon brand, which was produced by the brothers’ great-grandfather more than 100 years ago.

“Yellowstone Select uses some of the finest hand-selected barrels available to create a well-rounded bourbon – a spicy rye taste at first rounding out with caramel notes and a rich, brown sugar finish that highlights Kentucky tradition,” said Steve Beam, president and distiller of Limestone Branch Distillery.

“In 2010, my family and I founded Limestone Branch Distillery with the intention of crafting only the finest whiskey and the dream of restoring the Yellowstone brand to its former glory.

“In the spring of 2015, that dream came true, and to celebrate this family reunion of sorts, we bring you Yellowstone Select Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.”

Yellowstone Select Kentucky Straight Bourbon is bottled at 93 proof (44% abv) and carries an RRP of US$49.99.

Late next year, Limestone is planning to launch the Yellowstone Barrel Selection Program, which allows consumers to choose their own mash bill, barrel size, barrel char level and aging level for a personalised barrel of Bourbon.

In September this year, Limestone Branch released its first bottle of Yellowstone Bourbon, a marriage of a 7-year-old rye, a 7-year-old wheat expression and a 12-year-old rye.
