Rok Drinks to expand range with new distillery

Rok Drinks has acquired the Amador Distillery in Northern California
Following the acquisition of the distillery, which makes the Engine 49 range of spirits, Rok Drinks plans to releases a rye whiskey and vodka brand.
The company, launched by UK entrepreneur Jonathan Kendrink and US billionaire John Paul DeJoria, already distributes its UB Irish Whiskey and Bogart’s Real English Gin internationally.
“With the rapid growth of our drinks business worldwide, we’ve been looking to further strengthen and control the supply and the range of our already successful spirits portfolio beyond Bogart’s English Gin and UB Irish Whiskey into other exciting categories,” said Kendrick, chairman and CEO of ROK Stars PLC.
“To have found and acquired the outstanding Amador Distillery is a major development in our quest to offer distributors, retailers and consumers the best portfolio of premium spirits available.”
Kendrick added that the US is Rok Drinks’ “primary market” to target growth and said further details of future brands produced at Amador will be revealed “in the near future”.
Rok Drinks teamed up with the estate of Hollywood actor Humphrey Bogart to launch Bogart’s Real English Gin in August last year.
