Halal cocktail range tastes ‘exactly like liquor’

ArKay has expanded its soft drinks range which replicates the “feel and taste” of real liquorSaid by producer ArKay to “feel and taste exactly like liquor”, new range consists of flavours including Russian Dream, Italian Almond, Italian Lemon and Cuba Libre.
The Florida-based company launched what it claimed was the first ever Halal whisky, containing no alcoholic content, around the world in December last year.
ArKay’s range, which also features Tequila, Spiced Rum and Gin, is designed to appeal to consumers who cannot drink alcohol for religious or health reasons.
“ArKay is the only company in the world that makes this type of soft drink,” a statement from the company read. “We are very enthusiastic about giving this opportunity to everyone who has religious beliefs that prevent them from drinking liquor.”

Certified Halal, ArKay is also sugar-free and fat-free, and claims to have “zero calories”. The brand is currently available in 34 countries.
Earlier this year, the firm launched a cinnamon-flavoured variant of its “whisky” product across the US.
