Borco recruits former Bacardi sales director
Independent German spirits group Borco-Marken-Import has appointed a former Bacardi employee as its new sales director for the group’s home market.
Markus Kohrs-Lichte joins Borco as sales director for Germany and Austria
Markus Kohrs-Lichte will officially join the group from L’Oréal Deutschland from his position as sales director, on 1 July 2015.
Previously Kohrs-Lichte held the position of off-trade director at Bacardi Deutschland and key account manager at GlaxoSmithKline.
He will lead Borco’s operational management and strategic development of sales in Germany and Austria.
Markus Kramer, CEO of Borco, which distributes Sierra Tequila, Fernet Branca, Russian Standard and Yeni Raki, in Germany and Europe, said: “By recruiting Mr Kohrs-Lichte, we have gained a seasoned and successful manager for our company. His experience and far-sightedness in heading up large sales teams are well known, both within the spirits business and far beyond.”
Borco is an independently-owned family company based in Hamburg.
