By Becky PaskinCamus Wines & Spirits has agreed to distribute Angus Dundee Distillers’ Glencadam single malt Scotch whisky in the US.
Glencadam Scotch whisky will now be available in the US through CIL US Wines & SpiritsThrough its CIL US Wines & Spirits division, Camus intends to “successfully establish” Glencadam in the US, where it also distributes Ungava Canadian gin and Trianon Tequila from its headquarters in Florida.
From October, Camus will introduce three Glencadam expressions – Glencadam 10 Year Old, 15 Year Old and 21 Year Old, all of which are 46% abv and non-chill-filtered – to 12 states.
“We are excited to be chosen as distribution partner for such a premium and handcrafted whisky brand,” said Cyril Camus, president of Camus Wine & Spirits.
“The US market is important to us and I believe our 150 years of experience as a purveyor of fine spirits, as well as our extensive network and knowledge of the US trade will help us to successfully establish Glencadam in the largest market for the category.”
Glencadam Distillery was purchased by Angus Dundee in 2003, who restarted production and released its first commercial bottling in 2005.
