The Ardmore unveils NAS peated Scotch

The Ardmore distillery is launching a new no age statement single malt Scotch whisky called The Ardmore Legacy, which will replace Ardmore Traditional Cask as its core expression.

The Ardmore Legacy will replace Ardmore Traditional Cask as the brand’s core expression

The lightly peated Speyside single malt is bottled at 40% abv, chill filtered and comprises 80% peated malt and 20% unpeated malt.

It is described as offering creamy vanilla spice, smoky charcoal and sweet honey on the palate with a dry, tangy finish.

“This is an exciting new expression from The Ardmore offering an exceptional Highland single malt with broad appeal,” commented Peter Sandstrom, marketing director for Maxxium UK, distributor of The Ardmore Legacy.

“As the only traditionally peated Highland single malt, The Ardmore Legacy has real stand out.

“It is ideal for whisky drinkers looking for something new and is also the perfect introduction for any whisky drinkers beginning their journey into peated malts.”

The packaging has been redesigned to bring a “new premium look” to the brand, with a copper foil eagle in full flight embossed on the bottle label and outer tube.

The Ardmore Legacy carries an RRP of £29.99 and will be sold in Tesco and Morrisons stores throughout the UK, as well as select specialist whisky retailers from the beginning of October.
