Svedka founder ‘re-enters’ spirits with Davos Brands
The founder of Svedka Vodka has established a new import and marketing group for luxury wines and spirits in the US, called Davos Brands.
Davos Brands will specialise in importing and marketing luxury wines and spirits brands in the US
Guillaume Cuvelier, former founder and former CEO of Svedka Vodka, now owned by Constellation Brands, aims to build a small portfolio of luxury wine and spirits brands through acquisitions and partnerships.
The group, which is based in New York, currently counts Ty Ku Sake and ZYR Russian Vodka in its portfolio.
Cuvelier said: “I’m thrilled to formally re-enter the exciting wine and spirits industry with Davos Brands. Our team is truly exceptional with proven, top industry performers. It is the key to success.”
Davos Brands has developed partnerships with several US distributors, including Southern Wine and Spirits and Glazer’s to establish routes to market throughout 50 states.
In the first instance, the group will begin developing ZYR Vodka, previously only available in 10 east coast markets, into a national brand.
