Scotch Whisky Experience offers blending sessions
By Becky PaskinEdinburgh’s Scotch Whisky Experience is to begin offering whisky blending sessions as it builds upon its highest ever visitor numbers.
Visitors to the Scotch Whisky Experience in Edinburgh can now learn to blend their own whiskyThe Blend Your Own Sessions will be available to groups of 10 or more whisky fans visiting the Royal Mile attraction, for £65 per person.
Participants will be shown how to blend whisky, and receive a small bottle of their unique blend to take home.
Susan Morrison, director and general manager of The Scotch Whisky Experience, said: “Over the years, many of our visitors have quizzed us on the processes involved in creating a blend, so we are delighted to be able to offer our visitors this new experience.
“Everyone has different tastes when it comes to whisky and we look forward to helping our visitors create their own perfect dram over the coming months.”
The Scotch Whisky Experience recorded its highest visitor rate with over 300,000 visitors in 2013, up 11.5% on 2012.
The blending tickets also include the iconic barrel tour, a viewing of the world’s largest collection of Scotch whisky and a tasting of four regional single malts.
