Eva Green to front 2015 Campari Calendar

Eva Green, star of Sin City and James Bond Casino Royale has been chosen as the face of Campari’s iconic 2015 calendar.

The French-born actress will be photographed by Julia Fullerton-Batten – the first female photographer to be involved with the Campari calendar project.

The 2015 calendar theme will be Mythology Mixology, exploring Campari’s colourful history through 12 of its classic cocktails.

Green, who is now fronting TV series Penny Dreadful, said: “To work with an iconic worldwide brand such as Campari is an honour and a privilege. There is something very special about this year’s theme as it strikes a balance between the classic and the contemporary.

“It’s a thing of incredible beauty and clearly shows that while some of these recipes are over 100 years old, they are still relevant to and adored in today’s world.”

Green joins a long list of leading ladies who have fronted the Campari calendar over the past 16 years, including Eva Mendes, Jessica Alba, Mila Jovovich, Penelope Cruz and last year’s face, Uma Thurman.

Bob Kunze-Concewitz, CEO of Gruppo Campari, said: “Though there has always been a sense of timelessness around our classic cocktails, we’ve been hearing reports from bartenders all over the world that there has been a surging popularity for classic recipes like the Negroni and Americano.

“This year’s Campari calendar is designed to celebrate those enduring recipes and the heritage behind them.”
