Cognac/ Brandy Brand Champions 2013

Of the big four Cognac houses, Rémy Martin was the only one to manage double-digit growth in 2012 and is on track to overtake Martell next year. Over 60% of sales are in Asia Pacific led by China – the world’s biggest value market.
Rémy has expanded distribution throughout China and broadened its appeal to a younger crowd with its Centaure Cognac and limited-edition VSOP. It has also made concerted efforts to breathe new life into the Japanese market. Closer to home parent company Rémy Cointreau bought family-owned Larsen calling it “one of the last independent producers of AOC Cognac, of a significant size”.
