The Glenrothes releases 2001 Vintage

Berry Bros. & Rudd has released a new 2001 vintage of its single malt Scotch The Glenrothes, the first to appear in the brand’s new packaging.

The Glenrothes 2001 Vintage is the first new release to feature an updated packaging design

The Glenrothes Vintage 2001 has been created from a variety of casks and bottled at 43% abv, giving the whisky notes of “oaky vanilla”, “ripe black cherries” and “soft spices”.

“The 2001 Vintage displays deliciously creamy citrus wrapped tightly in the softness of aged oak,” said Ronnie Cox, brands heritage director at Berry Bros. & Rudd. “Complete and complex integrity in a glass.”

The 2001 Vintage is 22nd released so far by the bottler, 14 of which have entirely sold out.

It will be available in a 700ml bottle from Berry Bros. & Rudd for £45, as well as in Asia and the US (in a 750ml bottle) for €55 (US$67).

The release comes just weeks after The Glenrothes released its first exclusive range for travel retail, Manse Brae.
