Six-region Scotch whisky blend launches

Spirits importer M.S. Walker and whisky bottler MacDuff International have launched a new Scotch whisky made up from liquid produced at each of Scotland’s six whisky regions.

Grand Macnish Six Cask Edition has launched in the US

Grand Macnish Six Cask Edition Blended Malt Scotch Whisky, described as the “first whisky of its kind”, is a blend of six casks of whisky from the Highland, Speyside, Islay, Campbeltown, Lowland and Island whisky regions.

“The Grand Macnish Six Cask Edition retains all the taste, aromas and complexity of its component parts, while remaining undeniably unique to the market,” M.S. Walker states.

The brand, launched in 1863, was the brainchild of Glasgow-based merchant Robert McNish, who wanted to create a “lighter, smoother style of Scotch”.

It is now available exclusively across the US at an RRP of US$36.99.
