Great Odin’s Raven! Ron Burgundy’s Scotch whisky is kind of a big deal. It probably smells of rich mahogany

Lead character Ron Burgundy’s favourite tipple has been bottled by Riviera Imports to coincide with the premiere of the anticipated sequel in the US on 18 December.

His love of the whisky has been immortalised in the original Anchorman film, released in 2004, where he proclaims: “I love Scotch. Scotchy, Scotch, Scotch. Here it goes down, down into my belly.”

The new Ron Burgundy Whisky – Great Odin’s Raven is a blend of grain and malt Scotch whiskies bottled at 40% abv.

The bottle itself features the silhouette of a black raven above Burgundy’s now famous words “Scotchy, Scotch, Scotch”, while the initials “RB” are printed on gold medals.

Anchorman 2 is rumoured to again feature Burgundy’s love of Scotland’s national drink, alongside cameo appearances from Harrison Ford and Nicole Kidman.

Ron Burgundy Whisky – Great Odin’s Raven is now available to buy in the US and Canada, while reports suggest that the bottle is set in launch in the UK in February 2014.
