American Whiskey 101 – Bristol

 

 

American Whiskey fans, listen up because have we got a masterclass-and-a-half for you. Are you an avid fan of whiskeys from the U.S., or are you looking to brush up on your Bourbon knowledge?

If so, be sure to join us on Monday 15th April in Bristol for an American Whiskey 101 masterclass brought to you by the Distilled Spirits Council of the US (DISCUS), as part of its Cheers! Spirits from the USA campaign – an initiative that aims to share knowledge and ideas, focused on this fascinating category.

The session will be hosted by freelance drinks writer, educator and presenter Kristiane Sherry, and will celebrate some of the best American Whiskeys available in the UK – alongside brands seeking representation – covering four key subcategories: Bourbon, Tennessee Whiskey, American Rye Whiskey, and American Single Malt Whiskey.

Breakdown of the masterclass:

3pm-4pm: Focus on the four categories of American Whiskey and neat tasting (Bourbon, American Single Malt, American Rye Whiskey, Tennessee Whiskey).
4pm-5pm: Cocktail demonstration – 4 different cocktails highlighting the 4 American Whiskey categories
