The Macallan designs £600 hip flask with Oakley

The Macallan has designed a “beautiful, yet high octane” £600 hip flask in collaboration with lifestyle brand Oakley.

Capable of holding 200ml, the laser-welded flask is wrapped in carbon fiber and clad in aluminum to give a robust, adventurous feel. The inner flask is laser-welded and clad in aerospace grade aluminium.

Simply named ‘The Flask’, the release is the latest collaboration from the Scotch brand owned by Edrington following The Macallan’s partnership with legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz for the its Masters of Photography series.

“Together [The Flask] has allowed us to defy convention and take a truly design-driven approach in crafting this beautiful, yet high octane flask,” said Ken Grier, director of malts, at Edrington. “The Macallan is known for its unique collaborations and this latest output continues our commitment to high quality creativity now inherent within the brand”.
