Isle of Arran Distillers partners with Chimera
The producer of Arran and Lagg single malts has signed an exclusive UK distribution deal with London-based Chimera Brand Development.

Isle of Arran Distillers has described the partnership as ‘a significant milestone for both companies,’ and said that it hopes to “deepen market penetration, drive premium visibility, and elevate the distinct personalities of the twin island distilleries across both UK on-trade and off-trade channels.”
Euan Mitchell, managing director of Isle of Arran Distillers, said: “As an independent distiller, finding a partner who truly understands our island’s unique heritage and the distinct identities of both our Lochranza and Lagg distilleries was paramount.
“The UK remains a vitally important and highly competitive market for single malts. Chimera’s progressive, targeted approach to brand development aligns perfectly with our vision.
“We are confident that their energy and focused commercial strategy will allow us to connect with whisky enthusiasts and grow our footprint across the country.”
The Isle of Arran Distillers portfolio had previously been distributed by Amber Beverage UK. This arrangement began in 2023 when Amber Beverage UK acquired a majority stake in the company’s former distributor, Indie Brands.
“As we enter this exciting new chapter, we would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the team at Amber Beverage UK,” Mitchell added. “We are incredibly grateful for their dedication, partnership, and hard work in supporting our brands in the UK over the years, and we wish them continued success.”
Chimera Brand Development was founded by Amber Beverage Group’s former CEO Seymour Ferreira and former COO Douglas Bratten in 2025.
Ferreira, CEO of Chimera, said: “We are incredibly proud to welcome Arran and Lagg into the Chimera family. These are exceptional, independently owned brands with an uncompromising dedication to quality and a clear point of difference.
“Our tailored, collaborative model is designed to respect the unique identity of each distillery while aggressively driving their footprint and narrative across the UK.”
Lochranza distillery, which produces Arran single malt, began distilling on the Isle of Arran in 1995.
Its sister distillery, Lagg, came online in 2019 and produces heavily peated single malts.
Arran 14 Year Old returned to shelves in May 2026, after being discontinued in 2019. It was joined in the range by a 30-year-old expression aged in Sherry hogsheads filled during the distillery’s first years of production.
Chimera Brand Development added Tarsier gins and vodka to its portfolio last year, followed by Cargo Cult, Ouzo of Plomari Adolo, and Sūpāsawā.
