Garrison Brothers boasts double-digit US growth
By Georgie CollinsTexas-based Bourbon producer Garrison Brothers has posted double-digit national sales growth for its first quarter of 2026, with the biggest gains witnessed in its home state.

Founded in 2006 by Dan and Nancy Garrison, Garrison Brothers Distillery, located on a working ranch in Texas Hill Country, is the first and oldest legal whiskey distillery in Texas, and the first distillery outside of Kentucky to produce authentic, handcrafted Bourbon.
Now, just over nine months into its national distribution partnership with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, Nielsen data has revealed that the brand ‘significantly outperformed its competitive set’ in the 13 weeks ending 30 April (Q1).
Nationally, while comparable premium Bourbon brands are down by approximately 4% in dollar sales despite a modest 7% increase in volume, Garrison Brothers has posted an increase of 32% in retail dollar sales alongside a 21% rise in volume.
The outperformance is even more pronounced in Texas, where Garrison Brothers continues to lead within its home market.
The brand achieved a 47% increase in dollar sales at the register and grew by 37% in volume, while competing Texas-based premium Bourbon brands declined by 16% in dollars and by 14% in volume during the same period.
“Our performance in Q1 and Q2 reflects the team’s strategic planning and focus, the strength of our partnership with Southern Glazer’s, and the continued drive of the Garrison Brothers brand in a highly competitive premium Bourbon category,” said Drew Pennington, vice-president of sales at Garrison Brothers.

“We are encouraged by our double-digit growth nationally and outsized gains in Texas, which underscore both the resilience of our business and the effectiveness of our route-to-market strategy across all 50 states.”
According to Fortune Business Insights, the global Bourbon market is poised for continued growth, fuelled by rising demand for premium, handcrafted spirits, distinctive finishes, and limited edition releases.
As Garrison Brothers continues its national and international expansion, the brand says it is creating new opportunities to educate consumers about Bourbon as America’s protected spirit, while celebrating National Bourbon Day (14 June) and its mission to ‘make better Bourbon every day’.
“Nancy and I have always believed that Bourbon is about bringing people together, and it means the world to us to share it with folks from Texas and far beyond,” said Dan Garrison, co-founder of Garrison Brothers Distillery. “We’re deeply grateful to every person who makes the trip to Hye to visit our distillery, buys our Bourbon, and enjoys it.”
Garrison Brothers Bourbon first entered the market in 2010.
Master distiller Donnis Todd and his team lead the charge with the brand’s four core Bourbon expressions, which are available nationwide.
The brand’s portfolio includes the annual Cowboy Bourbon release, alongside additional special and limited releases every year.
Last year, the distillery raised US$100,000 for Texas flood relief.
