Doghouse bar to serve London’s ‘largest’ Old Fashioned menu
By Lauren BowesLondon’s Doghouse Distillery will open its own bar at 10 Clapham Common Southside, just a mile away from its main site, on 1 May.

The bar features two spaces, with the upper level featuring 40 racked whisky barrels as an extension of the distillery itself. Downstairs, guests can enter a ‘honky-tonk’ speakeasy designed to feel like a Nashville bar.
The basement is available for private hire, masterclasses and open-mic nights.
Katherine and Braden Saunders opened Doghouse Distillery in 2016 and released London’s first ‘Bourbon-style’ whisky in 2025.
The site is the English capital’s ‘only’ multi-category craft distillery, producing gin, vodka, aperitivo and whisky all under one roof, from grain to bottle.
The Doghouse Distillery Bar’s drink list is built around its homemade spirits, with an extensive Old Fashioned menu that covers flavour profiles from sweet to smoky and ‘everything in between’.
It will also offer flights served on barrel staves, including one that takes guests through the full production process from unaged moonshine to finished whisky.
The Old Fashioned flight features a selection of mini serves.
Cocktails are priced between £9 and £12 (US$12-US$16), reflecting the fact that there is no middleman between the distillery and the bar.
The bar will also serve beer from local south London breweries, including Mondo and Belleville, alongside staples like Guinness.
Any spirits not made by Doghouse have been sourced from small independent producers, prioritising London or British businesses where possible.
The food menu is simple but ‘done properly’, including gourmet toasted sandwiches, charcuterie, cheeseboards and Ploughman’s. Pickles will be a focus, with a pickle of the week and Picklebacks served with Doghouse Moonshine.
In the evening, the bar will offer live music Thursday through Saturday and has plans for weekly honky-tonk nights.
Katherine Saunders said: “This is not our first venue – we ran a busy and successful microbrew pub in Brisbane before moving to London to start Doghouse, and we have missed it – the atmosphere, the service, the food and drinks done properly.
“We are incredibly excited to be bringing something special and unique to Clapham.”
The bar builds on the distillery’s successful summer mini festivals, which it has hosted since 2018.
