Aplós creates non-alc dragon fruit Martini

Florida-based Aplós has debuted a new ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktail, Dragon Fruit Martini, described as its ‘most playful’ to date.

The brand says it has taken inspiration from the ‘ongoing global obsession’ with the Pornstar Martini, but reimagined through its functional, zero-proof lens.

“Martinis have re-entered culture in a big way. It’s an iconic cocktail that has a way of signalling that the night is about to get good,” said David Fudge, co-founder and CEO of Aplós. “We wanted to honour that bold energy and create a delicious cocktail that is uniquely Aplós and the epitome of a fun night out.”

The RTD is made with Aplós Arise, the brand’s non-alcoholic functional ‘spirit’, which features Suntheanine, moringa and ginseng. This is paired with dragon fruit, kiwi, black tea, lemon verbena and Sarawak peppercorn.

Aplós Dragon Fruit Martini is available across the US from leading retailers including Total Wine & More, Sprouts and Amazon, as well as directly from the brand’s website.

An eight-pack of 250ml cans retails for US$48.

“I feel like the most fun nights build slowly and unfold unexpectedly,” added co-founder and chief marketing officer Emily Onkey. “The Dragon Fruit Martini captures that electricity. It’s decadent, playful, and has a tinge of vice.”

Last year, Aplós raised US$5 million in a funding round to scale production and expand its footprint.
