The Curatist rum debuts with Panama Edition
British drinks brand The Curatist has unveiled its inaugural limited release rum, the Panama Edition, which has been finished in Cognac casks.

The new British brand seeks to approach luxury as a process rooted in ‘curation, restraint, and intention’.
Each edition of The Curatist is developed through sourcing, blending, and design, with the aim of offering an elevated product.
The Panama Edition is described as a modern luxury rum crafted from a blend of English sugarcane and molasses rums, as well as aged Panamanian rums up to 25 years. The final blend is finished in Cognac casks.
Bottled at 45% ABV, the rum offers flavours of sun-kissed tropical fruits, vanilla bean, dried figs, layers of fresh-cut grass, subtle herbaceous notes, and candied ginger.
Jiggy Rawal, founder of The Curatist, said: “The Curatist has been over two years in the making. We wanted to create something that felt considered in every sense.
“The Panama Edition represents our belief that modern luxury should be intentional, quietly confident, and rooted in genuine craft.”
The inaugural release is showcased in a custom 700ml black ceramic bottle, featuring tactile wind-line detailing and topped with The Curatist’s symbol, the swift.
The swift, a bird known for its long journeys but always returning home, is said to reflect the brand’s British and global identity.
To celebrate the launch, The Curatist has partnered with several cultural and creative institutions. These include Lucky Cat, a modern Asian-inspired restaurant by Gordon Ramsay, and Alexandra Wood, a Savile Row tailor.
The Curatist Panama Edition is now available through Whisky Brokers Associates and the brand’s website for £140 (US$187).
Rawal chose to work with Whisky Brokers Associates as they “have a shared approach to building meaningful relationships with people and places that represent modern luxury”.
The Curatist is in the process of developing its upcoming editions, which will include both spirits and non-alcoholic options.
