Peaky Blinders launches official Bourbon
US barrel ownership platform Barrel Global has teamed up with the entertainment company behind the Peaky Blinders TV series to create a limited edition Bourbon.

Not to be confused with Sadler’s Peaky Blinder Irish whiskey, the official Bourbon is the result of a collaboration between Barrel Global and Banijay Rights, the global distribution arm of Banijay Entertainment.
The Bourbon is the first release in a new line of Peaky Blinders-branded spirits, distributed by Barrel Global as the TV show’s spirits partner in select regions.
The barrel ownership platform aims to collaborate with craft distillers worldwide, sourcing and blending premium spirits while combining innovative packaging with engaging storytelling.
Leila Loumi, senior vice-president of licensing and merchandising at Banijay Rights, said: “We were drawn to partner with Barrel Global because of its ability to act as a one-stop shop for creating the bottle from start to finish, while retaining the creativity and craftsmanship that we needed to bring the story to life. We can’t wait to see how the fans respond to this beautiful bottle.”
Peaky Blinders Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is distilled at the Green River Distilling Company, a historic Kentucky distillery that survived Prohibition. In the show’s storyline, the fictional Peaky Blinders gang profited by smuggling Irish whiskey into the US.
Barrel Global has selected and blended the liquid, which was finished in barrels with Irish whiskey oak staves.
Bottled at 45% ABV, the whiskey is said to combine elements of both Irish and Bourbon whiskeys. It displays aromas of cherries, stone fruit, honey, citrus and baking spices. On the palate, it presents toffee, cloves, nuts, caramel, marzipan, and cinnamon spice.
Independent creative agency Boundless Bite Marketing created the label for the release.
George Koutsakis, founder of Barrel Global, said: “As a huge fan of the Peaky Blinders, it’s a privilege to capture their sensational gangster world in a bottle. From the liquid to the design, we wanted to create an immersive experience, and I’m really proud of what we’ve achieved.”
Peaky Blinders Whiskey is now available for online pre-orders at the Barrel Global website for US$44.99.
The Bourbon will be available from early March at retailers across the US, Canada and Mexico.
The TV series, which is based around the Shelby family, was created and written by Steven Knight and produced by Caryn Mandabach Productions and Tiger Aspect Productions for the BBC. Banijay Rights is responsible for handling international distribution.
Two new seasons of Peaky Blinders are currently in production.
