The Whisky Exchange show takes guests ‘back to basics’

UK spirits retailer The Whisky Exchange will host its second Welcome to Whisky show this month (February), curated for ‘anyone who’s ever felt curious about whisky but didn’t quite know where to start’.

Welcome to Whisky is for anyone interested in learning more about the category

Last year’s inaugural show welcomed more than 700 guests. With female guests making up 30% of the attendees, a ‘strong appetite’ for a whisky show that ‘swaps formality for fun and intimidation for invitation’ was observed.

Running for two sessions on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 February, the show will bring together more than 250 whiskies from over 40 producers around the globe to Glaziers Hall on London’s Southbank.

New to this year’s show are Scotch stalwarts Lagavulin, Talisker and Highland Park, alongside producers from closer to home, such as The English Whisky Co.

Guests will also be able to explore exclusive previews of upcoming releases from Douglas Laing & Co, Glenallachie, The Heart Cut and more.

The show is said to be perfect for newcomers to the category as well as enthusiasts and the whisky-curious alike.

This year, the show will be co-hosted by Georgie Bell, co-founder of independent bottler The Heart Cut – recently crowned The Whisky Exchange’s producer of the year 2026.

Fever-Tree will be bringing back its whisky Highball bar, where the mixer brand will showcase how versatile whisky can be beyond the traditional neat serve.

Education sits at the heart of Welcome to Whisky, and alongside drams, cocktails and food pairings, it will offer a programme of masterclasses, demonstrations, and talks led by some of the best voices in whisky, including Janice Snowden, UK ambassador for Bushmills Irish Whiskey.

Following its success at The Whisky Show 2025, The Heart Cut’s Half + Heart beer pairing experience will also return, offering a fresh and unexpected way to enjoy whisky alongside low-ABV beer.

Throughout the event, dedicated 101 stands and an ‘Ask Us’ counter will be on hand to answer any whisky questions, or recommend drams and help guests navigate the category with confidence.

Hosted by The Whisky Exchange, the Welcome to Whisky show was recognised as runner-up for Best Event at The Spirits Business Awards 2025.

Tickets start from £45 (US$61) and are available to purchase via www.thewhiskyexchange.com/events/17377/welcome-to-whisky.
