Cincoro creates LA Lakers Tequila bottle
By Rupert HohwielerTequila brand Cincoro has released a limited edition Los Angeles Lakers-themed bottle as part of its partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA) team.

Cincoro is the official Tequila of the Los Angeles Lakers.
The bottle is dressed in the team’s signature purple and gold colours, and is embossed with logos of both brands.
Within the bottle is a limited batch of Cincoro’s añejo Tequila, which was aged for more than 20 months and made with 100% Blue Weber agave. It is said to have notes of oak and cooked agave with a ‘rich’ palate and ‘elegant’ finish.
One of the brand’s co-founders, Los Angeles Lakers governor Jeanie Buss, chose the liquid.
Buss said: “Cincoro was created to represent greatness at the highest level, and that same standard has always defined the Lakers. This special añejo brings those worlds together in a way that feels celebratory and worthy of Lakers fans.”
The Lakers Añejo will be available exclusively in Southern California for US$139.99.
From 24 February, it can be found at select premium retailers such as Total Wine & More, Gelson’s, Ralphs, Mission and BevMo, as well as high-end on-trade accounts.
The brand added that the collaboration underscores its “continued strategy of aligning with championship-calibre partners and deepening its footprint in key regional markets through exclusivity”.
Buss co-founded the brand with four other sports stars, including basketball icon Michael Jordan. Its investors include tennis great Serena Williams.
Last November, the brand collaborated with rapper Travis Scott on a limited edition añejo called Cincoro Jack.
It is also an official partner of Italian football club AC Milan.
Cincoro’s involvement in the world of sports is becoming increasingly common in the spirits space.
