The initiative brings a series of immersive cocktail events to bartenders across the UK.

The curated events focus on bold, flavourful cocktails and aim to create an ecosystem that supports the industry and top British brands.

The tour kicked off last November at The Morris in Manchester, followed by four additional events that included Mito in Liverpool and Nilly Flowers in London.

Each stop on the tour hosts ticketed parties for 30 people that feature new brands, services and flavours, all guided by David Jordan Melia, founder of SpeakEasier Haus and Haus Bitters.

The next Haus Party will take place today (27 January) at Plotting Parlour in Brighton, followed by the seventh tour stop at Tbc Bar in Chester on 3 February.

DropWorks’ British-made rums are featured in selected cocktails on the events’ bespoke menus in collaboration with Haus Bitters to enhance the flavours.

Melia said: “The concept of Haus Party is all about creating a nationwide ecosystem that nurtures the sector and champions British brands. Having the brilliant liquid from DropWorks feature on my menus felt like a natural fit, bringing something genuinely exciting to the glass.”

DropWorks launched in 2023 and its rum offering includes Barrel Drop, Spice Drop, Dark Drop, Funk Drop, Clear Drop, and its latest innovation, Distiller’s Drops.

Lewis Hayes, founder and master distiller of DropWorks Distillery in Nottinghamshire, said: “Haus Parties are all about flavour and intent, aligning seamlessly with the DropWorks mission. We want to prove that great rums can be naturally full of flavour and British-made, a clear departure from outdated pirate-and-palms clichés.

“The events provide fantastic opportunities to explore British-made bitters and spirits, and discover how to bring their flavours to life in cocktails.

“We’re proud to see our locally produced rum on the bespoke menus and to have been invited along on this journey by David Jordan Melia and the SpeakEasier team.”

DropWorks is currently available in more than a third of the UK’s top 50 cocktail bars, including Soma, Tabula Rasa, and Nightjar.

The British rum is also featured in several high-end restaurants that include The Clove Club, Moor Hall, and Ottolenghi.

Additionally, the distillery has established long-term partnerships with organisations such as the Pig Hotels, Mildreds, and Adam Handling.

Last month, DropWorks collaborated with The Ivy Nottingham Brasserie to explore British-made rums and enhance their flavours in festive cocktails.
