Angostura Cubata RTD relies on a classic
By Miona MadsenTrinidad and Tobago-based brand Angostura has launched a new ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktail called Cubata that blends spiced rum with cola.

Launched ahead of the carnival season, the new RTD blends cola with Angostura Tamboo spiced rum and offers notes of vanilla, caramel, cinnamon, and warm spice.
Angostura Cubata joins the brand’s RTD portfolio, which includes 420 made with Horny Goat weed and the premixed Angostura Puncheon Punch range.
The launch is said to underscore the company’s dedication to innovation, cultural relevance, and engaging consumers in various settings – whether at carnival, after work, or on the go.
Commenting on the launch, Gary Hunt, chairman of Angostura Holdings Limited, said: “Innovation has always been at the heart of the House of Angostura. It’s not just about creating new products; it’s about understanding how people live, celebrate, and connect and respond in ways that are authentic and exciting.
“We created Angostura Cubata because the way people enjoy their drinks has evolved. Today’s consumers want great taste, convenience, and a brand that reflects who they are.”
The RTD is offered at 7% ABV in a 275ml bottle.
Angostura Cubata is now available in Trinidad and Tobago at retail outlets nationwide, including Angostura Solera Wines and Spirits at M6 Plaza in Chaguanas; Gopaul Lands in Marabella; Albion Energy Plaza in Port of Spain; Angostura’s head office in Laventille; and East Gates Mall in Trincity.
A global rollout will follow the initial launch in the coming months.
In 2024, Angostura Bitters celebrated its bicentenary with a limited edition 200th Anniversary Bitters.
