Dead Rabbit opens second Irish Exit
The second Irish Exit bar from the team behind The Dead Rabbit will open in the Entertainment District at Centennial Yards, a development in downtown Atlanta.
Centennial Yards spans more than 20 hectares, with US$5 billion spent on its redevelopment.
The first Irish Exit opened in New York City’s Moynihan Train Hall in 2023. The concept aims to bring the contemporary Irish pub to entertainment and transport venues.
Co-founded by Jack McGarry, the group’s portfolio includes The Dead Rabbit bars in New York and Austin, and San Patricios in Jersey City.
“We’re excited to bring The Irish Exit to Atlanta and to be part of the incredible energy that Centennial Yards is building,” said McGarry. “Our mission has always been to showcase modern Irish culture and the Ireland of today – one that honours its roots while looking forward – and Atlanta’s Centennial Yards gives us the perfect platform to share that spirit with new guests.”
The new Irish Exit site will feature a flexible ‘indoor-outdoor’ layout with garage-style doors.
Details on the menu are yet to be revealed, however the first site in New York offers Irish beers – including Guinness and Kilkenny – on draft, as well as a range of Irish-inspired cocktails.

Other venues at Centennial Yards are helmed by brands including Live Nation, Cosm, Shake Shack, and Khao Thai Isan from Atlanta-based 26 Thai.
The Centennial Yards development also features residential towers and a hotel. The plans for the site include four million square feet of retail, entertainment, office, and hotel space, approximately 2,000 new residences, and public gathering areas.
