Hennessy saddles up for Year of the Horse
By Georgie CollinsTo mark the arrival of the Year of the Horse, Hennessy has unveiled a collection of limited edition designs that celebrate the spirit of the 2026 Chinese zodiac.

Featuring Hennessy VSOP, James Hennessy, Hennessy XO and Hennessy Paradis, each Cognac in the limited edition collection is adorned with a ‘dynamic interpretation’ of the horse, which is said to be an enduring symbol of energy and freedom.
Designed to evoke both movement and meaning, the collection is a celebration of ‘bright perspectives’ and the ‘momentum that defines the Year of the Horse’.
The limited edition bottles feature metallic copper tones and deep mineral pigments, underscored by a red palette.
Meanwhile, the presence of a galloping horse captures the ‘elegance and strength’ of the animal. This interpretation, which has been inspired by a foundational idea in Eastern philosophy regarding perspectives, energy, and freedom, has been designed to ‘unlock its potential through individual interpretation’.
“The Year of the Horse is a spectacular moment of awakening,” said Vincent Montalescot, chief marketing officer of Hennessy. “It symbolises freedom, new perspectives, and forward momentum – values that speak deeply to our own story.
“Through this collection, we honour over 160 years of shared history with China and celebrate the cultural energy that continues to inspire us.”
Hennessy’s legacy with China dates back to 1859, when the maison first shipped 12 crates of Old Pale Cognac to Chinese shores.
Hennessy has since honoured Chinese culture by commemorating key festivals, milestones, and creative collaborations.
The Hennessy Chinese New Year 2026 collection is available in the UK now at Selfridges and Amazon.
Hennessy VSOP is priced at £65 (US$86), while Hennessy XO retails for £210 (US$277).
Earlier this month, Hennessy partnered with rapper Bad Bunny.
