Following ‘strong momentum’ in the US and international markets, the brand’s flavoured spirit is making its European debut in Austria through retailer Weisshaus.

After Austria, the expression will launch in Italy with Mixers, supported by on-trade activations, tasting-led events, and creative cocktail partnerships.

Mezcal Trascendente is produced from 100% Espadín agave, naturally fermented with wild yeasts, and double-distilled in copper stills.

The brand’s flavoured mezcal, also known as abocado mezcal, Tamarindo, is built on Trascendente’s Espadín base. It features the sweet, tangy taste of tropical tamarind, adding subtle heat and spice to the expression.

The result is a mineral-driven spirit with subtle smoke, fresh citrus, earthy, and herbal tones, described as a contemporary style.

Tamarindo can be enjoyed neat, chilled, or in cocktails.

According to the brand, the tamarind-flavoured mezcal is crafted to appeal to today’s global palate, where ‘swicy’ drinks are reportedly among the most influential trends in international cocktail culture.

Piercarlo Bianciardi Salcido, co-founder and CCO, Mezcal Trascendente, said: “Tamarindo represents where mezcal culture is headed – rooted in tradition, yet bold and creative in flavour. It gives bartenders and consumers a new way to experience agave, with authenticity and excitement in every sip.”

The brand’s Hummingbird Initiative reinforces its commitment to sustainability and agave-pollinator conservation.

Mezcal Trascendente is imported and distributed in Europe by Stockholm-based AliasSmith.
