Desi Daru extends cocktail competition deadline
By Miona MadsenBritish-Indian vodka brand Desi Daru has extended the entry deadline for its Culture Colliders cocktail competition to 31 October.

The deadline has been moved to midnight on Friday 31 October, providing additional time for creative minds to perfect their cocktails and the stories behind them.
The competition is open to all UK-based bartenders, with the winner taking home the 2025 Culture Colliders Trophy, a £2,500 (US$3,400) cash prize, a distillery experience, and a Michelin-star meal for two.
Mohit Singh, co-founder of Desi Daru, said: “The level of talent and creativity that we’ve already seen from entrants this year has been incredible.
“However, we know that there are a number of bartenders who need just a little extra time to refine their recipes and entries in order to showcase their best work, so we’ve made the decision to extend our deadline to the end of the month.”
For its second year, Culture Colliders has invited bartenders to craft a cocktail that represents a fusion of their cultural backgrounds.
Each cocktail must feature one ingredient inspired by India and another inspired by their home country or Britain, all while using Desi Daru’s Alphonso Mango Vodka as the base spirit.
The grand final of the competition will take place at The Churchill Bar & Terrace on 18 November. During the event, the finalists will showcase their cocktails to an expert panel of judges.
The panel includes Aneet Kaur, co-founder of Desi Daru; Sukhinder Singh, co-founder of Elixir Distillers; Melita Kiely, editor-in-chief of The Spirits Business; and Vitor Sousa, the 2024 Culture Colliders Champion.
Earlier this month, Desi Daru became one of the latest British spirits brands to receive B Corp certification from B Lab.
