Sipsmith readying to sell, reports say

A spokesperson told The Spirits Business that is is not company policy to comment on speculation.
Founded in 2009, Sipsmith was the first copper pot distillery in London for almost two hundred years, and its range now comprises London Dry Gin, Lemon Drizzle Gin, London Cup, Sloe Gin, VJOP gin and Sipping Vodka.
After raising 200% of its crowdfunding target on Indiegogo in November, the firm launched Sipsmith Sipping Society: a quarterly “sipping service” featuring experimental gins.
Gin sales are set to overtake Scotch whisky sales in the UK by 2020, according to new data from Euromonitor.
