Hailing from Java, the rum has two expressions in its debut range – Spiced and White – and brings the marauding spirit of the Java Sea to curious drinkers.
Spiced sits at 35% ABV and has been matured in oak barrels that adds a layer of warmth and Indonesian spice to its profile, while White has also been distilled from the molasses of Java and boasts clean and fresh notes, plus an ABV of 40%.
Both are designed to be accessible and sipped on any occasion; from party celebrations to moments of quiet during golden hour as the sun comes down.
The Spirits Business caught up with Santana’s brand manager Adrian Pratama for the full rum-down.
