AnCnoc adds 22-year-old to core range
By Melita KielyInver House Distillers has announced the latest, hand selected addition to its anCnoc core range – the first limited release of anCnoc 22 Years Old.
Just 950 cases of anCnoc 22 Years Old will be available in 2013Only 950 cases of the whisky will be made available throughout 2013 in the UK, the US, Sweden, Russia, Denmark, Japan and Taiwan at an RRP of £85.
Bottled at 46% abv in its most natural form – neither chill-filtered nor coloured – the whisky has been matured in American Bourbon and Spanish Sherry oak casks at its Knockdhu distillery in Banffshire, Scotland.
AnCnoc brand manager Gillian Gibson said: “Releasing our 22 Years Old marks the first in a series of exciting developments for anCnoc in 2013 which are sure to delight fans of our portfolio of single malts worldwide.”
The whisky is described as full bodied and complex with crushed clove, raisin and blood orange flavours on the palate, followed by layers of vanilla and leather.
In addition to anCnoc’s latest launch is the rerelease of 800 cases of its 16 Years Old single malt, aged in ex-Bourbon casks. The cases will be sent to key customers in the UK, the US and selected export markets with an RRP of £60.
Gibson added: “AnCnoc 16 Years Old was very popular when we first released it in 2008 and we are delighted that global whisky lovers will once again be able to purchase this distinctive expression.”
