Tovaritch! vodka celebrates 150th trophy

Tovaritch! Vodka will make its debut at Bar Convent Berlin this year

The European brand was awarded a Gold medal in The Vodka Masters 2024 in the super-premium category, which helped it to reach the impressive milestone.

Eugenio Litta Modignani, founder and CEO of TSI, said: “We feel so honoured to have achieved 150 international awards, and this latest accolade from The Vodka Masters is the icing on the cake. Our brand is based on a 200-year-old family recipe, and my ancestors would be so proud.”

Tovaritch! Vodka is made in the Baltic state of Latvia in the EU and uses only European materials in its ingredients, production, and packaging. It is made from traceable European wheat, distilled five times and filtered 10 times.

It carries a historic Russian name, which means ‘friend’, reflecting the recipe’s 200-year heritage and forming the basis of the brand’s ethos.

The vodka retails for around £23-£25 (US$31-$33).

Offered at 37.5% ABV, the liquid is an ideal base spirit for cocktails and long drinks but also represents ‘some of the best in class’ as a pouring and sipping vodka.

Tovaritch! has a global footprint and is sold in the UK, Italy, Benelux, Latvia, Czech Republic, Romania, Malta, Turkey, Jordan, Oman, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan. Recently, the brand began exporting to Mexico.

Modignani continued: “Our vodka is authentic, traditional and has a price point that is affordable with a quality that will appeal to the most discerning consumer as well as drinks professionals. We thank the judges of The Vodka Masters for their decision.”

The first BCB appearance

Tovaritch! will be exhibited for the first time at Bar Convent Berlin (BCB) this year, joining brands at the Fraternity Spirits stand, 18D21. Modignani will be present during the show.

Modignani stated: “Tradition is at the heart of the brand’s excellence, but a contemporary approach is the key to our continuing success. We are delighted that our authentic brand is to be joining the other fine brands on the stand with Fraternity Spirits at BCB and to celebrate the accolade of our 150th trophy. Ours is the most awarded brand in the sector, and we are immensely proud of that.”

The clean, contemporary bottle design and label are designed to give the brand prominent shelf presence and instant recognisability. For the on-trade, the brand offers a range of point-of-sale assets to support listings and encourage brand recognition and sell-through.

He concluded: “Tovaritch! Vodka is a cost-effective and appealing alternative to classic ‘big name’ vodkas. It is unbeatable in value and quality as it is 10% more affordable than global category leaders, but without compromising taste and quality, making this ideal for retailers and the on-trade.
